SMM October 29: The replacement demand in the automotive lead-acid battery market was moderate, with dealers mostly purchasing as needed. Meanwhile, due to the difference in the SHFE/LME price ratio, domestic costs were higher than those in overseas markets. Coupled with the impact of tariff policies, export orders for batteries were sluggish. The operating rates of some lead-acid battery enterprises have reached 50-80%, and raw material lead is mainly procured through long-term contracts.
